"Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

"There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety."

Unity

Meetings. A.A. meetings allow us to share our experience, strength and hope. It's a good way to learn more about A.A.

We have many meetings scheduled daily throughout the Western Slope. Just view our complete list of A.A. meetings to find a location and time that's best for you.

Selecting a home group is an important part of recovery and unity for newcomers and old-timers alike. If you don't have a home group, we encourage you to choose one today.

Events. We always have a wide variety of new events and social activities in our fellowship. You may learn about them when you attend meetings, and you can find a current list on our News & Events page.

Service

For the good of our recovery and for A.A. as a whole, service in A.A. comes in many varieties.

You can find contacts and information about service opportunities on the District 22 & Area Info page and the Local A.A. Services page.

For A.A. members who want to make a difference in the quality of their sobriety, the sobriety of others, and to help ensure that A.A. will be here for future generations, we highly recommend you try a service position.

As we grow in our sobriety, we gain much by giving a part of ourselves -- as was done for us during our early recovery.
